Finished both Little Women and Little Men this week, in addition to harnessing our bread machine. Made oodles of bagels, two loaves of Amish bread (so ironic that I made it in a machine...) rosemary-olive oil bread, and one ill-fated oatmeal-wheat loaf that Papa insisted was delicious. I'll be sorry to go back to school tomorrow...

Have you ever read Under the Lilacs by Louisa May Alcott? I read this when a child and then read it out loud to my daughter twice. I consider it the most charming children's chapter book ever written. Also, love your blog, although I myself am rather ancient these days.
I haven't come across it yet, but I'll be on the lookout. Thank you for the suggestion!
