Yarn Along: IRL
Today I made an amazing discovery. There is a knitting group half an hour away that meets in a local library every Tuesday afternoon. It's like a yarn along in real life!
Everyone was really friendly and tolerant of Lucy's antics. I got a few rows done on her blue pullover, but mostly I wrangled her and got to know everyone. One woman spins, so we made plans to bring our spindles next week. I have wanted to have a group like this for so long. I really can't believe it's actually happening...

Our library across the street had a group Purls of Wisdom, which sadly just dissolved over the summer. There is another library about 3 miles away, however that has a yarn-group 2x every month! Nice to have a local group of support and inspiration!!!
How wonderful! I've been to a couple of knitting groups here but haven't found one I've "gelled" with, yet.
I am so excited for you, Kate!
yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! :) there's a store here in my town that Mr. Husband and I walked by the other day and we thought of you... if only you were closer and could visit! :) blessings be showered on you!
that is great news! virtual communities are great, but real ones are priceless.
Are you enjoying the Bringing up Bebe book you are reading?
How fun!!! On Wednesdays, I've been going to a friend's house for a play date, and there are a few of us who bring our knitting projects.
That is so great!! I started the Front Porch Kntting club here at my house but unfortunately I am the best knitter in the club haha. It would be great to have some great knitters around for when you get stuck on something!! Tricia @ crunchycatholicmomma.blogspot
That's really great! And so nice that you can bring your little one with you.
That's wonderful! I wish I had a knitting group here in my area...
