I love that you are doing these videos! I decided to put up my own yarn along video this week, and it was a lot of fun. Granted, I didn't actually have anything knit to show...but...eventually I will :-)

Beautiful socks! I love that slipper pattern. I did that for my family one year and they all loved them.

Lovely as ever. I saw on Pinterest where someone creates a little pompom using a fork. Maybe that would give you what you're looking for? https://www.pinterest.com/pin/566538828100109306/

I confess, I was on the edge of my seat about that sock!! So glad you found it in the end. As for a sock drying solution, my mom strung a heavy cotton cord above her washing machine and puts hanging things on it with clothes pins (or just drapes them). It is a good solution and would keep the socks up high. You might have another place besides the washing machine to hang them up too.

If you still can't get the smell out, I suppose you could try soaking in a mild Biz solution--I swear that stuff is magical.

Lucy's slippers are adorable (having seen the finished pom-poms!) I like the striping--I think it makes them more visually interesting. They kind of look like elf shoes. :)

re: Death Comes to Pemberly. I really liked that one. I'm definitely not an Austen purist, but I thought this was one of the better spin-offs. (Plus, Matthew Rhys is just so dark and broody). The Grantchester guy plays the lawyer in that one.

About that funeral book. Do you get the Road from Emmaus journal? A few months back she had a whole issue about death and dying from the Orthodox perspective, and Fr. Dcn. S found it very helpful. There was a book recommendation that he really loved: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/0971413967?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00 and has recommended to several people. I've not read it yet myself, but he's talked with me about it, and you might find it helpful to think through these things.

I can't watch your video because I'm at work, but oh my goodness, you have a lot going on! I'm in love with all your bright, colorful socks, and those slippers! How are you liking "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes"? I read it earlier this year and liked it pretty well, though it was definitely eye-opening! Apparently it might become a TV show.
