Yarn Along: button conundrum

I'm about halfway through Outlander and my Ramona Cardigan is well on its way.  Though it is aran weight, this Empire is perfect for spring knitting, with its cottony feel.  The color is right off a lilac bush.  I chose it to match these ceramic buttons I found at a local craft fair.  Since then, I have begun suspecting they'd be better suited for a child's garment and that I should stick to something more neutral for this cardigan.  What do you think?

I love those buttons! What about some beautiful wooden buttons?

While the buttons are beautiful, I think they will get lost on the sweater since the colors are so similar. I would go with a blond wood button if you want to play it safe. Feeling daring? How about a bright green?

They are gorgeous button, but I think that I would go with wooden ones. I can't wait to see this sweater!!

Those buttons are stunning, but may get lost. Personally I would be inclined to go with a wooden button.

I think those buttons are beautiful but agree that they may not be as well-featured with such a similar colored yarn. I don't think they seem at all childish to me and I would wear them on a garment in a heartbeat- my only thought is the color. I love the idea suggested of bright green because I love color, but I think a pretty wood button would be lovely too.

I think the buttons are gorgeous and not childish at all. I tend to prefer my butons to stand out more so I'd probably pick something that was a more contrasting colour to the yarn. Plus those buttons are so lovely it would seem a shame if they got lost against the rest of the cardigan

I LOVE the buttons! They're awesome! (I think they're too delicate for a child's garment... needing to wash more often and might break...) Go for it!

I'd stick with those buttons, but I don't consider myself to have àn eye for these things. I love the colour and the buttons!
